  1. Purpose and Legal Basis

In order to ensure the operation of our website and to provide you with optimal information, we use technical means to monitor the use of our website. These data collection and analysis services are explained separately in this document.

Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating our service professionally and securely.

Furthermore, there are situations in which you may wish to provide us with personal data, for example during registration. In this case, we will ask you for your consent to processing (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

  1. What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the service. Other data can be used to analyze your user behavior.

  1. a) Collection and processing when using the contact form or when processing an inquiry

When using the contact form, we collect personal data (individual information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person) only to the extent provided by you. For this purpose, we require your email address in order to be able to answer your inquiry. Accordingly, it will only be used for this purpose. Your data will subsequently be deleted unless you have expressly consented to further processing.

  1. b) Collection and use of personal data

The processing and use of your personal data is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest in being able to offer our services optimally. These mainly consist of finding, searching for and subsequently advising new employees. The processing and transfer of personal data takes place only on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Users must enter personal data themselves. No automated collection takes place.

  1. c) Sending newsletters

We offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter on our website. With this newsletter, we inform you at regular intervals about our current topics. In order to receive our newsletter, you need a valid email address. The email address you enter will be checked to determine whether you are actually the owner of the specified email address or whether its owner is authorized to receive the newsletter.

When you register for our newsletter, we will store your IP address as well as the date and time of your registration. This serves as protection in the event that a third party misuses your email address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge.

No further data is collected for this purpose. The data collected in this way will be used exclusively for receiving our newsletter. It will not be passed on to third parties. A comparison of the data collected in this way with data that may be collected by other components of our website will also not take place.

You can cancel the subscription to this newsletter at any time. Details can be found in each individual newsletter.

Your declaration of consent is given by clicking the button “Subscribe to newsletter”.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the corresponding link in the newsletter or by sending us a message (contact details see above or in the legal notice). Your email address will then be removed from the distribution list.

  1. Recipients or transfer of personal data

We do not pass on personal data to third parties without your express consent.

Excluded from this are our service partners, whom we require for the technical provision of our offer. In these cases, the data protection regulations are also complied with. The scope of data transmission is limited to the permissible minimum.

  1. Information on safeguarding data subject rights

  1. a) Withdrawal of consent

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw the consent you have given at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient; we have created technical possibilities to make withdrawal as easy as possible (privacy by design). For example, you can unsubscribe directly from the list in a newsletter email. The legality of the data processing carried out until withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

  1. b) Right of access of the data subject

You have the right at any time to free information, correction, deletion or blocking of your data.

Furthermore, you have the right to correction of incorrect or incomplete stored data.

  1. c) Right to lodge a complaint

According to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

(Contact see below point 8)

  1. Information on the right to object

We would like to point out that you have a right to object pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR in the event that personal data is processed.

The objection can be made in writing or by email to the above address.

  1. Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of data protection violations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority in data protection matters is:

The Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information

Klosterwall 6 (Block C)
20095 Hamburg
https://www.datenschutz-hamburg.de

  1. Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.

  1. Information, restriction, deletion

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing and, where applicable, a right to correction, restriction or deletion of this data. Legal provisions on retention and documentation periods must be observed.

For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the contact details.

  1. Analysis Tools and Third-Party Tools

Pirsch Analytics

For web analysis, we use Pirsch Analytics. Pirsch Analytics is cookie-free web analytics software developed according to the principle of privacy by design. To analyze visitor traffic, Pirsch Analytics generates a 16-digit number as a visitor ID using a hashing algorithm when a page is accessed. The input values are the IP address, the user agent, the date and a salt.

The IP address of the visitor is neither stored in full nor in part and is completely and irreversibly anonymized by the hash. By including the date and using a salt per website, it is ensured that website visitors cannot be recognized for longer than 24 hours and cannot be tracked across multiple websites. A rough localization (country/city) is carried out via a locally integrated database.

Data collection on our website

Cookies

We do not track you and therefore do not store any tracking cookies. We only use technically necessary cookies, which are usually “session cookies”.

Social-Share Buttons

The usual social media buttons transmit user data to Facebook & Co. every time a page is accessed and provide social networks with precise information about your browsing behavior (user tracking). You do not need to be logged in or even a member of the network for this. On this site, the share button establishes direct contact between the social network and the visitor only when the latter actively clicks on the share button. Common share buttons represent a significant data protection problem because they establish contact with the servers of social networks unnoticed. For example, Facebook sends the number of “likes” directly to the visitor’s browser – and logs individual browsing behavior. A different procedure is used here: instead of the browser, the server of the website operator queries the number of likes – and this only once per minute to keep traffic within limits. The visitor remains anonymous.

Facebook Social Plugins

Social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network facebook.com are used on this online offering, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins can be recognized by one of the Facebook logos (blue “f” on an orange tile or a “thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list and appearance of the Facebook social plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When a user accesses a webpage of this online offering that contains such a plugin, their browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to the user’s browser and integrated into the webpage. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore informs users according to its level of knowledge: By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the online offering. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to the user’s Facebook account. If a user interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking the Like button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from the user’s browser to Facebook and stored there. Even if a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible that Facebook obtains and stores their IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany. The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the related rights and settings options for protecting users’ privacy, can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about them via this online offering and link it to their Facebook membership data, they must log out of Facebook before visiting the website and delete the corresponding Facebook cookies. It is also possible to block Facebook social plugins using browser add-ons, for example with the “Facebook Blocker”.

X Buttons

Buttons of the service X are used on our website. These buttons (e.g. “Tweet” or “Follow”) are offered by X Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When a user accesses a webpage of our website that contains such a button, their browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of X. The content of the X buttons is transmitted directly from X to the user’s browser. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that X collects with the help of this plugin and informs users accordingly according to its level of knowledge. According to this, only the IP address of the user and the URL of the respective webpage are transmitted when the button is accessed, but are not used for any purpose other than displaying the button. Further information can be found in X’s privacy policy at http://x.com/privacy.

LinkedIn Recommend Button

We use components of the LinkedIn network on our website. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Each time one of our webpages that contains such a component is accessed, this component causes the browser you are using to download a corresponding display of the LinkedIn component. As part of this process, LinkedIn is informed about which specific page of our website is currently being visited. If you click the LinkedIn “Recommend” button while you are logged into your LinkedIn account, you can link the content of our pages to your LinkedIn profile. This enables LinkedIn to associate your visit to our pages with your LinkedIn user account. We have no influence on the data that LinkedIn collects as a result, nor on the scope of the data collected by LinkedIn. We also have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to LinkedIn. Details on data collection by LinkedIn as well as your rights and settings options can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy. This information can be accessed at: http://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

Server Log Files

We have prevented the storage of server log data and statistics by the host.

Plugins and Tools

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form including the contact data you provided there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. An informal notification by email to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until withdrawal remains unaffected.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
